New project "InGoodShape"- Partners meet for Kick-Off

On 3 June 2025, InGoodShape partners gathered in Brussels for the official project kick-off meeting, launching an initiative to improve working conditions for Europe’s social services workforce. The consortium, composed of 16 partners from ten countries, brought together 20 participants to align on the project’s shared objectives, work plan, deliverables, and responsibilities.

The project focuses on preventing musculoskeletal disorders and psychosocial risks, which significantly impact care workers’ health, safety, and job retention. It also aims to strengthen social dialogue in the sector, directly supporting the objectives of the European Care Strategy, aiming to ensure safer, healthier, and more attractive jobs in care.

Starting Point – Project Activities

The meeting served as a starting point for partners to align on project management, financial planning, and communication. Focus topics were discussed across several work packages:

  • European Care Strategy Implementation: Partners will identify promising practices that support the care workforce.
  • Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) and Psychosocial Risks (PSR) – these work packages will explore how physical and mental health risks affect care workers, develop targeted guidelines, and develop prevention strategies in the workplace.
  • Capacity Building activities include study visits to employers’ organisations in Luxemburg, Germany and Finland, as well as national seminars in Cyprus, Greece, Poland and Romania, to strengthen social services employers’ organisations and promote social dialogue.
