Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Österreichs (ASBÖ) is a non-profit organisation founded in 1927 that has branches in all of the nine federal states of Austria. Initially offering ambulance and emergency services, the organisation today has an additional focus on health and social services.

The Samaritan team consist of 5.870 volunteers, 2.290 employees, 1.400 participants of compulsory national service (Zivildienst) and 267.300 supportive members. The work of ASBÖ comprises ambulance and emergency services, training and first aid, disaster relief, development cooperation, health care and social services.

In the field of health and social care, ASBÖ offers facilities for elderly people, such as nursing homes as well as outpatient services, including home care, delivery of meals and medical alarm systems. ASBÖ also manages accommodation for refugees and facilities for homeless people and operates social markets, where citizens with an income which is below average can purchase goods for everyday-life for below wholesale prices.
